How it works 
Being active in BNI is like having up to 40 sales people working for you, because your fellow members will be carrying your cards and referring your business to people they meet, without you having to pay them any salaries or commission. Successful businesses depend on 'word-of-mouth' marketing as the best form of promotion there is. 
BNI provides a structured, supportive, business environment in which local business people can get together to network, learn valuable new marketing skills and develop the strong personal relationships that lead to trust and the consequent generation of significant business for each other. 
The Leadership Team 
The BNI Sterling Leadership Team are a group of volunteers who lead and steer the group to success. This team changes each year and the current team are:

As an organisation BNI is committed to training and professional development. This benefits you in terms of your BNI membership, enabling you to get the most out of it, and also in your general business life with subjects such as referral skills and presentation skills to name a couple. Training takes place in person, online and through podcasts. 


When you join a team you will want to be a part of that team where everyone is accountable to each other. This creates a close knit bond and drives everyone to achieve even more than they thought possible. If you are a sole trader it's easy to take your foot off the gas but having mutual accountability can help to drive you forward. 


It's good to be recognised for a job well done so we celebrate the wins with everyone and make sure that effort and success is recognised. If you don't have a boss to tell you that your doing well any more then who is going to? That's what being a part of the BNI team can bring to you. 


As a group of hardworking and like minded individuals we also like to let our hair down and organise regular social activities in and around Northampton. Apart from having fun it's a great way to really get to know each other and helps when we are recommending you to a local business who needs your services.
